The Mississippi School For Math and Science

The Vision

1. Watch out for preaching. Nobody likes to be told what to do. Suggestion is much more

†††† effective.

2. Try to get new, fresh days, prominent birthdays, and that old favorite, school spirit.

3. Leave world news, national news, and even local news alone unless it affects the††† school or is in some other way extremely pertinent.

4. Timeless is always of the utmost importance.

5. A good editorial cartoon can be most effective. (In relation to this, use student art work ONLY if it is good! Donít mix art word and photos; use all of one or the other.)

6. A timely front-page editorial can also be effectively employed on rare occasions.
